Nicholas was born in Galveston, Texas. His father was a Military Intelligence Officer in Vietnam with 30 years of military service and his mother was a college professor and counselor.Nicholas joined the United States Air Force in 1995 and served as an air traffic controller for four years. He served as a member of the Stealth Bomber 509th Bomb Wing during the Serbian air war.Upon finishing his Air Force hitch, Nicholas married and was soon the father of a beautiful daughter. He studied theater and film at the University of Texas at Arlington and obtained an MBA from Texas State University. He created Runner Films and worked as an actor, writer and director for many years. He worked various day jobs, including bartender, but was eventually hired by a Fortune 500 Aerospace manufacturing company where he worked 70+ hours a week for nearly three years. Nicholas lost that job in 2017 due to illness and ended up homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. He is currently a service-connected and has permanent housing through the Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing. Nicholas is writing and acting again.Nicholas now owns Runner Arts, a full-service content creation company. He volunteers for Veteran-centric service organizations and is a member of Skid Row Running Club. He recently ran his first international Marathon in India. He's run four Marathon's in a year's time—two in the last three weeks. Each marathon dedicated to his fellow Veterans, especially those unhoused, and struggling with mental illness and/or addiction. Nicholas is the Homelessness Liaison on the Community Veterans Engagement Board at the GLA VA in Brentwood, CA.
